The capability of BIAB 2014 to use the tempo and key signature information embedded in Acidized loops will encourage more BIAB users to collect and use loops. Many loop users maintain a loop library.
BIAB 2014 presently requires any loop used to be stored in a loop sub folder located under the /bb main folder. This wastes hard drive storage space as loops used by BIAB are likely duplicate of files stored in a loop library.
I would like the BIAB program file preferences to have a place to add the default location of a loop library. The default location could be the loops sub folder under bb/ but can be changed to the users regular loop library location.
I'd also like to see a checkbox in song preferences that overrides the program loop location file preference in favor of an alternate location. This would support easily finding loops grouped into sub folders by genre, instruments, song construction kits or some other manner.

Being able to specify a location for loop storage, or a secondary location for loop storage, has become more important with the use of loops and solid state primary drives becoming more prevalent.

Thanks for the suggestion. We don’t plan on adding other loop folders , but maybe it would be possible to reference an external loop in a specific BB song.
