I don't see a user forum for beginner questions? I've managed to create a simple backing track for my first song but I'm stumped on the second attempt. I want to open the song with a single chord strum and hear nothing more until the second measure......I'm baffled as to how this can be accomplished.

Hi Abbott, Welcome to the forum. Have a look in the electronic pdf manual for shots and holds. If you have BIAB 2016, it's on page 143. By right clicking on the chord sheet and then selecting "Chord Settings", you'll be taken to a menu that helps you add variations to how chords are played.  The "Help" button on the lower right will explain the various options. If you have any further questions, please come and visit again. The BIAB (Windows) forum is probably the best forum to use if it's BIAB related. Hope this helps, Noel

Simply type this: C... if you want the C chord to be held for the entire bar... then on the next bar simply type the C and it will do exactly what you are wanting.
