Hi, Elvis. While it's great to have you on this forum, the "User Showcase" is designated for people who use PG Music products. At the top of of this section, under User Showcase Info, FAQ, and Guidelines, it states:
Quote
The User Showcase is an area where users of PG Music products (e.g. Band-in-a-Box or RealBand) can post links to their original song compositions, for others to listen to and comment on.
You set up a rhyming scheme in V1 that was interesting if a little tortured in execution, (judicious). I missed that in the subsequent verses. What are the BIAB components? Nice, gentle rolling song.
The change of vocalist doesn't exactly further the narrative but when the harmonies occur it renders that though redundant. I suppose keeping sibilant sounds is a step toward "humanisation" but I'd like those sounds tamed a bit. Nice song - excellent programming.
I often encounter this problem. I hear a song I really like, but I can't find the right guitar in BIAB. I need to spend a lot of time looking for it, but sometimes there is no result. In the end, I have to give up. Is there any way to solve it? Now I can only rely on everyone's help. For example, this song. I like this guitar very much. I guess it must be in BIAB. But I can't find it. Does anyone know which similar guitar RT is? Is there any trick to quickly find a real guitar track similar to a song? Is there a better way?
It is a good suggestion. Main question would be where to out the information of the notes in a chord. For example, we could put it in the chord options dialog, which can remain open as a floating window You’ve got it on a “layer” . Another place might be the chord builder.
BIAB main program now has a chord builder. If it is not possible to turn the chord builder into a "chord setting", then I suggest that you can directly port the "chord setting" of the DAW to the BIAB main program. In this way, we can let the "chord builder" and "chord setting" float together in the BIAB main program.
Hi, floyd jane. Excellent write! I had to run off somewhere before I had a chance to listen to the song, so I cheated and read through the lyrics first. Paints a strong emotional picture with a sad but partially redeemed story arc. The arrangement has lovely builds in it, but always stays low key - there's no "big" part where the drum comes in. The ending is a sad apology, but is quiet and regretful instead of being cathartic. Fiddle, strings, baritone - they all work as they should. Excellent vocals as well. Nice work on the piano. By the time they add the piano RealTracks you asked for, you'll have no need of them. You don't list what MIDI instruments you used. Not that I don't already have enough bass and pianos, just curious. This is up to your usual high standards.
Very much appreciated, David. Yes, I no longer need the piano RTs that I had been requesting. I do still think they would be a Great add to the RT list...surely others could get good use of them...
> Generally speaking, I also noticed that playback became audible again each time Bb had to open a text file in notepad, for example in the following menus:Help/Utilities/Display log text file...or in: Memo / Bar summary Interesting. Launching notepad.exe is just the standard windows shell command to do that, which somehow gets the audio working.
Logic Drummer has taken an effort to be useful in my work. I’ve got the Logic percussionist to the point I often add the extra track to a BIAB real drum track.,, It looks like there are some enhancements to drummer that should make it even more useful. I too use ezkeys and ezdrummer mostly to change the voices of the BIAB midi tracks. Hopefully BIAB drum stems will continue to improve. So far my experience with them has been hit or miss. Sometimes very good, other time less good. I’m sure it will get better moving forward.
Another vote of support. It is definitely more standard.
As an aside, that's in no small part because our eyes are also more atuned to seeing vertical changes than horizontal, presumably a natural evolution for scanning the horizon.
Fun I needed this, tonight ... cheered me right up! Thanks What you do with this software alone, with no other "tricks", etc., really is second to none. Bravo.

The opening with you and Dave lets us know we’re in for a real treat. Janice said that she could just see the woman sashaying across the room. Dave’s solo is full of attitude that accentuates that sultry sway too. Playful piano sounds really good too. Excellent mix and performance by you two all through. And a very clever write. Enjoyed it! Very impressive stuff in this video, thanks for sharing. I like the integration of a DAW, a Plugin and a physical keyboard; there also seems to be a bit of AI drizzled in for good measure. The industry is definately moving forward; exciting times!
Mario, Matt, Noel, Mike and Herb...thanks you all for the outstanding responses to my query...I'm going to go to work and see how it all turns out...thanks again...Dan
Hey David Cuny, Thanks man! But please dance! Don't you remember the song? Love like you've never been loved? Dance like you've never danced? Or whatever, maybe it was a poem or a coffee coaster!!
The best just got better A New, FREE Norton Music Fake Disk #2 upgrade is available to anyone who purchased Fake Disk #2 (The Pop/Rock Fake Disk) from Norton Music. Thousands of new styles have been added to BiaB since we first compiled this e-disk back in the 1990s. Plus, we are much better at making these disks than we were back then. We spent well over a year revising this e-disk, assigning new styles, and doing many other things to make the chord progressions portray the songs more faithfully. It's a much better product now, and we are offering this update to you for free. WHY FREE? Because we think it's the right thing to do. As usual, the new styles are MIDI, but the BiaB robot should suggest a Real Style for most of these songs. Why MIDI? If I assigned a Real Style, BiaB would not recommend a MIDI style, so choosing MIDI is the only way to get both MIDI and REAL suggestions to you. In addition, many of the tricks we used to coax a more faithful rendition of the song will only work in MIDI. As always, I recommend that you listen to both the MIDI and Real version to see which one you like better. How to get your free upgrade? I just completed sending individual e-mails to all the users in my database that have a current e-mail address. If you didn't get your e-mail:
E-mail Norton Music (norton @ nortonmusic.com) <- remove the spaces
Put "Free Fake Disk #2 upgrade" in the subject line
Include your current physical and e-mail address. If you have moved since you bought the disk, let me have that address too, and I'll update my records
I'll check my records, and if I have you down as purchasing Disk #2 from me, I'll e-mail the upgrade to you. (Be sure to put my e-mail in your address book, so the anti-spam robots don't nuke it. I won't know it if they do.)
PLEASE, BE PATIENT — I'm doing this by hand, one at a time, and I'm still a gigging musician. If it's been a couple of weeks since you asked, try again. Sometimes e-mail gets lost.
Note: I'm posting this in the Off-Topic forum, and copying it to the Windows and Mac forums to make sure everyone sees it. Please pardon the redundancy. Thanks. I hope the update gives you endless hours of pleasure. Bob 'Notes' Norton ♫

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
