im useing power tracks pro audio 11 and wonder
if i can do this
after i record a vocal track sometimes i like to
clean inbetween words to get rid of any noise and the
likes.
what i do is high light the section then press cut
and that get rid of any noise
what i was wondering is is there a way
to highlight more than one section of the track at a time
so i can do more than just one part at a time
thanks hope ive explained this right

cherrs

No, multiple sections can not be highlited in PT11 (to my knowledge)

A faster way may be to use the pianoroll window (if available in that version) and change the selection to Control Change 7 (CC7) which is a volume control. Then you can draw a volume cut during each desired section and bring it back up when you want by simply drawing it on the screen.

This is a non-destructive edit and can be changed later.

Make your sound your own!
.. I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

A similar approach to the one rharv suggests is to patch in the pg dynamics plug-in to the insert on the vocal track. If you un-check the compressor box and just use the expander/gate you can adjust it to cut out any noise under a certain volume. Try setting the ratio up full with the fastest attack and release, then adjust the threshold so you just hear the vox. Takes a bit of practice, but at least it's non-destructive if you get it wrong!

Hope this helps. ROG.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
