My principal instrument is Percussion. When it comes to playing 2nd, or 3rd instruments I just don't got it; especially on guitar. So, I was wondering if anyone knew of a pretty simple way, or a pre-existing platform to get a MIDI 1-Bar riff (or maybe 4-bars)?
You can import any midi track from any midi file using File | Import | Import Melody from Midi file command. (Import Soloist command can also be used).
The command can import any track, not only the melody.
Once the track is imported onto a track in BIAB, it can be edited to whatever you want.
I think I can manage the MIDI import. My biggest problem is finding the right sound/style. I'm looking for a Muscle Shoals/Memphis kind of sound. I came close, but still can't find that cigar. If you know of a Addon Pack that I can buy separately I could use a suggestion or 2. Thanks again, George
Glad the original problem is solved for you. Regarding a Muscle Shoals/Memphis sound, the simple answer is to narrow down the particular Muscle Shoals/Memphis sound you're seeking to a specific song, artist, era and genre. There's no single Muscle Shoals/Memphis sound as they employed multiple musicians and recorded multiple artists from different genres of music across several eras of musical styles popularity.
I don't think there's any issue in finding a Muscle Shoals/Memphis sound in either BIAB or add-on packages. The problem is which Muscle Shoals music they recorded you're seeking. Is it Aretha Franklin, Bob Segar, Duane Allman, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Rolling Stones, Paul Simon, Percy Sledge, George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rod Stewart or any of a host of popular artists from all genres of music?

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
