Great guitar tone and as usual chops.
That bass was right in the pocket.
Great vocal.
This line is so true "you gotta bend those notes, you gotta make it cry
Play with feeling, just like Buddy Guy".

Well, calling a vocal of mine "great" is a bit of a stretch eek grin

Thanks, Mario!

A good write.

The ever excellent guitar and bass...duh

Very much enjoyed. Well done.

Oh yeah! We love everything about this and are you ever correct on your mentions of Stevie Ray, Albert King and Buddy Guy.
You and Marty do them way more than justice in this excellent song with your guitar, swampy vocal and Marty's bass.
And you wrapped it all in a fine mix and cool vid.

Keeping the blues alive and well!

J&B

Out of the three I mentioned I saw Stevie Ray three times and Buddy Guy twice. Never got to see Albert unfortunately, but he was my first major influence back when I first started playing.

Thanks Janice and Bud!

Listened to this tune a couple of times Dave. Loved the chord progressions you used in this tune. Super vocal and lyric. You definitely bent those notes. Fingers must have been singing as well. Guitar work was awesome and Martys basslines were top shelf. Loved the wah as well.

Beautiful. Loved your voice in particular, here, as well as Marty's excellent, seamless bass playing. A great ode to the blues smile - well done, the both of you.

Joyous blues rock.
Great playing & tone - love the linking phrases too.
The klank in the attack of Marty's bass REALLY works sitting him in the mix with definition.
Vocals sound smoked/BBQ'd and a really well placed in the sound stage.
ACE!

Cheers

It is so easy to hear that both of you are in your comfort zone with your performances.
The arrangement and the production sizzle.
As I listened, I could actually see you and Marty on stage performing. It was that realistic to me.
And the vocals... perfect!

I loved everything about this.

Thanks for that, Noel!

And of course Marty is very good too. I wonder if that man ever sleep. He's always busy with making songs for himself, you, me, a lot of others.
And always quality (and friendly). You both are a good team!

Hans

Marty is a songwriting machine, amazing the amount of quality material he produces. Thanks, Hans!

That was a treat! Your and Marty's musicianship is inspiring. And you both really stepped it up at the instrument break. Your vocal fits the song well.

My least favorite part of any song where I'm doing the vocal is the vocal eek Thanks for the kind words!

I experimented with adding some distortion to Marty's bass track on this song, helps it cut through the mix I think. Thanks, Ray!

Marty likes to add his bass part last so that he can react to what I'm playing on guitar, gives it a live feel during the solos.

Thanks, Scott, very much appreciated!

Before I leave I have to quote one of the guys I quote most often, David Cuny. Towit: Cool blues that comes with instructions (and name dropping)!

"you gotta bend those notes, you gotta make it cry" - the real master does what he teaches smile Nice namedroppings.
Marty is really on fire on this one, great playing, IMO he would certainly deserve a famous dropping also smile
Good smokey vocals, bit buried in the haze, but still enjoyable.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
